In Tutela’s latest Mobile Experience Report for Paraguay, Claro has shown to have the highest percentage of Excellent Consistent Quality with 72.6%. Claro also has the fastest download speed in the country with 11.2 Mbps. Tigo manages to have the fastest one-way latency on both a 4G and 3G network with a result of 32.2 ms and 40.3 ms, respectively.
Claro dominates Consistent Quality
Claro has the best performance in Paraguay with an Excellent Consistent Quality percentage of 72.6%, a healthy lead over the competition. Claro also has the best performance for Core Consistent Quality with 94.2%. Tigo is in second place with an Excellent Consistent Quality of 60.6%, a 12% difference in performance between the operator and first place winner Claro. Tigo also just makes the 90% threshold for Core Consistent Quality with 90.6%. The difference in performance is much smaller here with 3.6% between Claro and Tigo.
Personal has the lowest performance of Excellent Consistent Quality in Paraguay with 59.1%, and the lowest Core at 88.9%.
Claro has strong lead on download speeds
Claro also has strong speed results for Paraguay, with the fastest median download speed of 11.2 Mbps and the fastest median upload speed of 5.9 Mbps. Tigo, with a difference of 4 Mbps in download speed performance, comes in second place with 7.2 Mbps and also has the slowest upload speed in Paraguay with 3.1 Mbps. Personal has a download speed of 6.5 Mbps and an upload of 4.7 Mbps.
Tigo latency performs best on 4G network
For latency, Tigo has the lowest result with 32.2 ms on a 4G network and 40.3 ms on 3G. Despite coming first in both Consistent Quality and speed tests, Claro is in second place for latency with 34.9 ms on 4G and 45.5 ms on a 3G network. And in third place, Personal has a a 35.2 ms result on a 4G network and 45.8 ms on 3G.
