In the latest Mobile Experience Report for Honduras, Tigo was found to have the highest Excellent Consistent Quality at 60.1% and to have the best latency result on both 4G and 3G networks. Claro, however, took out the top spot for fastest median download speed. 

Tigo leads Excellent Consistent Quality  

In Common Coverage Areas of Honduras, Tigo had the highest Excellent Consistent Quality at 60.1%, with Claro only behind by 3.8%. Claro managed to reach the 90% threshold for Core Consistent Quality and had the highest percentage at 91.5%. Tigo did not reach the 90% threshold but still had a strong Core Consistent Quality at 88.4%.

Claro leads in download speeds

In the speed test, Claro had the fastest median download speed in Common Coverage Areas of Honduras with 10.5 Mbps, and Tigo close behind by only 2.7 Mbps. The rankings switch in regards to upload speeds with Tigo taking out top spot for the fastest median upload at 5.7 Mbps, however Claro was only 1 Mbps behind its competitor.

Tigo leads latency on both 4G and 3G network

For latency, this is where we see more difference in performance: Tigo had the best latency result on a 4G network by 7.4 ms, and the operator also had the best latency result on a 3G network by 5.9 ms.
