In the latest Mobile Experience Report for Colombia, Tigo was found to have the highest Excellent Consistent Quality percentage in the country with 60.9%, and the operator also took out the spot spot for latency with 49.1 ms on a 4G network. Claro had the fastest download speed in Colombia with 9.6 Mbps and Avantel had the fastest upload speed with 8.1 Mbps.
Tigo leads Excellent Consistent Quality
In Common Coverage Areas of Colombia, Tigo had the highest Excellent Consistent Quality percentage with 60.9%. The operator also had the highest Core Consistent Quality at 92.1%.
Claro had the second highest Excellent percentage by 4.2% behind Tigo, and Avantel was also close behind for an Excellent percentage of 56.1%. And rounding out the top four, Movistar had an Excellent Consistent Quality percentage of 55.2%. All operators reached the 90% threshold needed for Core Consistent Quality.

Claro takes out top spot for download speed
For download speeds, Claro had the fastest median transfer speed in Colombia with 9.6 Mbps. Avantel was hot on the heels of Claro with a median download speed of 8.3 Mbps, while both Tigo and Movistar had a median download speed of 8.1 Mbps. For upload, Avantel had the fastest median transfer in the country with 8.1 Mbps, far exceeding all other operators in this test. Tigo was in second place with 5.8 Mbps, Movistar in third for 5.6 Mbps, and Claro had the slowest median transfer speed with 4.9 Mbps.
Tigo had best latency on 4G and 3G network
For latency, Tigo had the best result on both a 4G and a 3G network with 49.1 ms and 60.9 ms, respectively. Avantel had the second best result on a 4G network with 52.4 ms, however the lowest result on the 3G network with 68.5 ms. Movistar had the second best one-way transfer on the 3G network with a result of 64.4 ms.
