Bolivia: Entel lead our latency results

Written by Tom Luke | 14-Jun-2018 11:00:00

According to our latest findings for Bolivia, Entel demonstrated the quickest latency results between February and April of 2018, with speeds of 83.7ms on 4G. Tigo, who has recently been voted one of the top 25 multinational companies to work for in Latin America, came a close second with speeds of 87.7ms.

Tigo top download speeds across 4G and 3G

Similar to the findings from our last Bolivia report, Tigo leads on network speeds across both 4G and 3G. However when we look at both separately, our findings from the last three months to April show Entel with the fastest download speeds on 4G with speeds of 9.17Mbps, and Viva with the fastest speeds specifically in the Santa Cruz region with speeds of 9.23Mbps.

Viva demonstrate best network stability

Although Entel illustrate slightly lower packet loss, Viva demonstrate the best overall network stability with both low average packet loss and low jitter. Trilogy International Partners, parent company of Viva, have reported strong Q1 growth with 54.7 thousand prepaid net additions and a 56% LTE customer base increase over the last year.

Our findings for Bolivia are based on 1.15 billion network quality measurements including 115 thousand speed tests between February and April 2018. Our latest complimentary Mobile Experience Report is available to download from the Tutela Insights portal.
