Singapore Mobile Experience Snapshot

In the latest Mobile Experience Snapshot for Singapore, StarHub had the highest Excellent Consistent Quality, the highest Core Consistent Quality and the fastest median download speed. Singtel had the fastest median upload speed and M1 narrowly won in the latency test.

StarHub leads Excellent Consistent Quality

In Common Coverage Areas across Singapore, StarHub had the highest Excellent Consistent Quality with 87.2% of connections having a network experience suitable for use-cases like 1080p video streaming, real-time mobile gaming or HD video calling. Singtel came in second place with an Excellent Consistent Quality of 84.4% and M1 in third with 83.2%, only 4.0% behind first place StarHub. 

In regards to Core Consistent Quality, meaning subscribers having a network experience suitable for use-cases like SD video streaming, social media sharing and web browsing, all operators reached the 90% threshold. StarHub was in first place with a Core Consistent Quality of 95.3%, followed by Singtel at 94.3% and M1 in third with 94.2%, only 1.1% behind StarHub.

StarHub had fastest download speed, Singtel fastest upload

Despite the close competition shown in the Consistent Quality metric, StarHub outperformed in the download speed test with a median transfer speed of 34.4 Mbps, 9.6 Mbps faster than second place Singtel and 13.5 Mbps faster than last place M1. 

For uploads, Singtel took the top spot with a median transfer speed of 16.6 Mbps, followed by StarHub at 14.7 Mbps, and M1 in third place with 13.2 Mbps. 

 

M1 had most responsive network

In the latency test, the competition was very tight with M1 in first place with the most responsive network in Common Coverage Areas across Singapore with 8.6 ms. However, only 0.1 ms separated second place StarHub from M1, and Singtel was only 1.2 ms behind first place M1.
