Paraguay Mobile Experience Snapshot

In the latest Mobile Experience Snapshot for Paraguay, Claro dominated in all five metrics tested, including the highest Excellent Consistent Quality, fastest download and upload speed, and best latency result on a 4G network. 

 

Claro had highest Excellent Consistent Quality

In Common Coverage Areas across Paraguay, Claro achieved the highest Excellent Consistent Quality with 76.6% of subscribers having a network experience suitable for use-cases like 1080p video streaming, real-time mobile gaming or HD video calling. With a difference in performance of 12.3%, Personal was in second place with an Excellent Consistent Quality of 64.3%. Tigo was in third place with 57.2%, 19.4% behind first place Claro. 

In regards to Core Consistent Quality, meaning subscribers having a network experience suitable for use-cases like SD video streaming, social media sharing and web browsing, no operator reached the 90% threshold, however Claro was in first place with a Core Consistent Quality of 88.0%, followed by Personal at 84.0%, and Tigo in third with 76.7%, 11.3% behind Claro.

 

 

Claro had fastest median download and upload speed

In the speed test, Claro had the fastest median download speed in Common Coverage Areas across Paraguay with 14.3 Mbps, 4.3 Mbps faster than Personal and 5.4 Mbps faster than last place Tigo. Claro also had the fastest median upload speed at 9.8 Mbps, 3.2 Mbps faster than last place Tigo. 


Claro had best latency result on a 4G network, Tigo close behind

Claro had the most responsive network in Common Coverage Areas across Paraguay at 33.8 ms. Despite its last place ranking in every other metric tested, Tigo managed to place second with a difference in performance of only 1.3 ms. Personal was in last place with a median one-way latency of 40.6 ms, 6.8 ms more than first place Claro.
