In the latest Mobile Experience Snapshot for Ireland, Vodafone had the highest Excellent and Core Consistent Quality in the country, as well as fastest download speed and a statistical first place tie in the upload speed test with 3. Eir had the most responsive network in Ireland but was met with strong competition from the other operators.
In Common Coverage Areas across Ireland, Vodafone had the highest Excellent Consistent Quality with 76.8% of connections having a network experience suitable for use-cases like 1080p video streaming, real-time mobile gaming or HD video calling. 3 was in second place by only 2.5% for an Excellent Consistent Quality percentage of 74.3%, and eir was in third place with 72.4%.
Vodafone was the only operator to reach the 90% threshold for Core Consistent Quality, meaning subscribers having a network experience suitable for use-cases like SD video streaming, social media sharing and web browsing. However, both 3 and eir tied for second place and were only 1.5% behind first place Vodafone.

Vodafone had the fastest median download speed in Common Coverage Areas across Ireland with 21.8 Mbps. However, 3 was in hot pursuit with a median transfer speed of 20.1 Mbps, whilst eir was in third place with 15.0 Mbps.
Vodafone and eir were statistically tied for first place in the upload speed test, followed closely by 3 with a median transfer speed of 10.8 Mbps.
In the latency test, eir took first place with the most responsive network in Common Coverage Areas across Ireland with 15.4 ms. However, only 1.4 ms and 1.5 ms separated both 3 and Vodafone from ranking first place.
